Brent, Jake, and Marty are joined in studio this week by Niken and Allan Carpenter for a long-form interview!

Niken tolerates our shenanigans long enough to relate some great stories:
- Growing up in Indonesia and what brought her to the States? (Allan is very big in Detroit!)
- She reveals Allan's biggest weakness: Cheese. (It's really a weakness of everyone's, honestly.)
- Niken was a judge in Indonesia
- Allan listens to our show at 3 AM before he goes to work

Niken has also started a foreign language podcast called "Hakim Cilik" . It's a legal podcast, meant for people in Indonesia that will be in the language Bahasa Indonesia and a link can be found below! (Hakim Cilik means "little judge")

On a serious note, Niken talks of multicultural bridge-building, and how she networked in Erie after she arrived. She started with Mayor Schember as Executive Assistant and Refugee & Immigrant Liaison, but has moved away from the Executive Assistant position to focus on our newest residents.

Niken addresses some of her interactions with xenophobia and out-and-out racism, even while interacting with the public in City Hall.

There's our usual banter, and Allan is, quite literally, our #1 fan so we delve into our tangents about food, politics, religion, and everything under the sun.

There's no Beer Segment this week, but this is an episode you DO NOT want to miss!
