Our guest, Breanna Adams, talks all about the Erie Free Store and how it came to be!
They’re located on 2816 Elmwood Ave, open Mondays from 4:30-7PM, and their title is EXACTLY what they are: a store full of free items for those who need them! They have limitations on what they accept, and if you have questions, you can e-mail Breanna at eriefreestore@gmail.com
Breanna tells the story of how she was inspired by the Second Lady of PA, Giselle Fetterman, who started a free store in Braddock, PA.
They’re teaming up periodically with Iron Empire to sell t-shirts and other clothing as a fundraiser for the Erie Free Store and other places!
The Atacolypse Food Truck Beer Segment: Breanna and her husband were in Illinois and brought us back a great IPA from Around the Bend Brewing in Chicago called “Villainous”. This one hit just right, and we gave it a 4/5! It’s not too hot at 6% abv and 70 IBUs! Listen in to find out where the Atacolypse Food Truck will be serving up his magic! After the break: Brent was a judge in a comedy roast battle over the weekend, and we talk a little about that!
Breanna is working an angle to be a judge in the Corry Potato Festival in September, and Dill wants in on that action. (Given his previous comments about Corry, it’s not likely)
We talk about future plans for the Free Store, how Breanna finds the time, and if you can donate to them via Erie Gives!
